SWEET 16!!!

SWEET 16!!!

We're 16!! so rachel and i had a sweet 16 birthday party and it wasn't like those birthdays that you see on the tv but this one was fun and exciting with all my japanese friends that i met..even though they're not all japanese.lol. We had a blast! the first game we played was rachel's idea. we went outside without our shoes and socks which was freezing and we tied our shoes to the back of us or put them in our back pockets and ran around trying to get everyone elses without letting someone get our own. then after a couple games we were freezing so we went in side and played pass the magical present around. the game where this one prize is wrapped in layers and each layer someone has to do something. almost all of them but one or two had to deal with food. like poor rachel had to eat nasty disgusting fish eggs:p after that game we played the game where there are two teams and you have to each put a layer of snow gear(gloves, hat, shirt, and shorts) and then run to the table and try cutting a hersheys bar and eating a chunk then each teammate would do the same until the whole bar is gone. since we were all sweaty after playing that we went outside and played the shoe game again. after that they lit the cake and rachel, miki(her birthday is the same as rachel's) and myself all blew out the candles. we had cake and ice cream also some pop. then we talked for a while and some played wii. it was about 5 something and everyone had to go home so we all walked to hongo station and took some last minute pictures and said goodbye. when we got home after dinner gabbi, dani, and alex came over again and we opened up my parents' gifts for us and we opened up gifts that we got for each other. it was an awesome day and the gift we got together from my parents was a day with japanese ladies and wearing kimonos! we had a blast when we got to go do that too!

Ok so i though of this brilliant plan to ask my art teacher(mr. hughes) if for one of rachel's 16th birthday presents he would draw a picture of us two. well he wanted to take his own picture because our's weren't professional enough.haha. so after talking to him he decided that on saturday he would come over and take pictures of us, then we could pic a couple that we especially liked and he would either draw one or two of them or do a portrait out of them. (it was ahrder then it sounds because he kept on forgetting about it granted he was busy with teaching many different age groups.) so on saturday he came over and we went down to the park and he took over 250 pictures of us in different poses as you can see. it took about 2 hours and we had a blast:) rachel even thought of some ideas for some of the poses which came out beautiful. and we also had some funny moments..even in pictures we still have retarded moments it's hilarious. later on after he left he went through the pictures and deleted the bad ones then gave us the cd for us to pick the ones we like...and we still have yet to get it finished.but we will sooner or later. i hope rachel loved it and had fun:) hope you had a happy 16th rachel!

cooking!!!

oh my goodness guys!!! i've cooked 4 times now!! first i cooked breakfast which was pancakes, then i cooked dinner which was teriyaki chicken, next a day or two later i cooked cookies for desert, then just tonight i cooked dinner with the help of my mom; which was tacos!!! to top it off everyone liked it:D who knows maybe when i grow up i'll become a famous cook and then i would prove you guys all wrong.haha. i heard what you guys said..well at least rachel and chase and you guys are so dead when i get back:p i did pretty good but when i made the cookies i broke the beater.hehe. yea just wanted you guys to know because i know at least rachel would be proud of me for cooking all kinds of different meals and dishes:) i know you guys are sooo jealous of me, haha i'll cook for you all when i get back.lol. luv ya all!

GUAM!!!

Hey guys so i just went to guam which was an awesome vacation place. Though there isn't much to do there on the island itself, but relax on the beach. don't get me wrong that's nice too, but after a while you feel the urge to want to go and do something...well at least i do.haha. for the first 5 days my family stayed at the PIC(pacific islands club) and they have everything at the resort, except nice rooms to stay in, but who cares about the rooms very much when you don't plan to be in them for very long. for the days that we were there we would wake up and get our bathing suits on and slide on the water slides, snorkel, windsurf, archery, raquetball( i hit taylor in the thigh), badmiton, and other activities. we all met some friends. We had a blast at the PIC, we didn't want to leave when it came time to move to the Marriott. we walked into the Marriott and hardly anyone was there, that was our first clue it wasn't going to be as fun as the PIC. another downer on the Marriott was for one their pool was freezing and they had small, sharp pebbles all around the pool. you couldn't take your shoes off until you were right next to the pool and about to jump in because they would hurt your feet really badly. also they had tons of rules about what you can and can't do:p the beach on guam was totally beautiful, unlike Washington which has rocks up and down the beach and cold water. so knowing me it takes forever to get into the lake, but in guam i just ran right in except for the fact that it was salt water. i didn't prefer the salt water it burns your eyes and tastes nasty:P when we went on a snorkel tour we saw a blue star fish it was really pretty..i even touched it! my mom and i would always have trouble when we went windsurfing, we never had trouble getting out in the middle of the water, but it was getting back in shore that was the trouble we had. we got to ride the sailboat and a hobie cat which is almost like a sailboat but not quite. we met tons of friends there and a blast! hopefully i'll get some pictures up soon:)

FIRST BLOG!!!

Hey guys it's my winter break and my dad said i should start a blog because i'm always dying to talk to you so this way i can update you but not really talk to you so i'm not really sure why i decided to do this. rachel knows i'll never be able to keep this blog updated. I have about 10 more days till i got back to school and it's pretty boring because i don't have my amazing, cool friends with me.lol. most of you know that i went to guam, and that was just amazing:) I learned how to windsurf and also i got to snorkel that was saweet. Rachel left like 3 or so weeks ago and i miss her like crazy:( We had new years eve 2 days ago and that was the most interesting new years i have had. first we couldn't find a channel on the tv that had the count down, then we watched a movie which wasn't bad and played some mexican train. though when it came down to count down till the new year we had to count down by watching a clock; once it hit new years we all cheered and my mom looked outside to see if anyone was lighting off fireworks or anything and there wasn't a sound. just a little clue for you guys, on new years eve the japanese go to the temples to hit the big bell(i think that's what it is) to have good luck for the whole year. my school ends in stinkin' june so hopefully i'll be coming back at least for a visit in the end of june, but if not i'll be there in august!! it's super cold here like low 40's...ok well it is for me maybe not for you washingtonians who had over a foot of snow:P well it's not a very good update but i'll get better at it as i go on..if i don't quit trying to do it. i luv you all lots and miss you!!!
